Hello and thank you so much for visiting my website. My name is Ronel Smith and I specialize in make up artistry in the wedding and fashion industry. I have been working as a make up artist since 2003.
I love being a make up artist because I get to work on exciting jobs, meet new people, and after all its my passion. It doesnt feel like a job to me, but it is what I do and as I said I love it.
I have done make up at many weddings and on fashion shoots. Recently I have had the priveledge of working with such artists and photographers as Ian Mitchinson and Cindy Bam.

Ok, Im not even going to say who the photographer was!! Just look at my last few posts. Alain and Marcelle are a lovely couple. Alain surprised her with a photo shoot with Ian which included make up by me. I just love these shots. Ian was a bit nuts, climbing high into a tree…..I was wondering if he was actually a human…anyway maybe super human!!
LOL!! 
We all went for drinks after at Ricks Cafe, it was so much fun. What a lovely gift!! A photo-shoot as a present.
Tim and Vanessa were married at Clouds estate. Its a lovely venue in Stellenbosch. Again Ian was the photographer. I thought I would also post a photo of the groom, as he had a little bachelor party incident which required a bit of a “touch-up” hehe…boys will be boys!!
Ok, so I work with Ian Mitchinson a lot. We work well together and he refers me alot. Anyway, we were hired to shoot Ashleys portfolio by her modelling agency. Ashley is from Chicago and spent the season modeling in Cape Town. Ian met her on a shoot he did with her for Marie Clare and her agency loved the images from that shoot. So they hired Ian to do some portfolio shots for her, and he hired me.
We met at 4:30 to start the make up and did the beach shots as the sun rose on Clifton beach. After that we went to Spier wine estate to do the shots of her riding a horse (The Famous Sangoma) in a bridal gown. The gown was from Cindy Bam.
Once again, I got to work with Ian Mitchinson on a fashion shoot for Femina Magazine. Femina did a feature on woman in their forties. Sjoe, Ana was a stunning woman.
A while back I was hired to do the make up for a bridal fashion shoot. The shoot was for Cindy Bam bridal wear and the photography was done by Ian Mitchinson. Melissa is a very experienced model and it was great to work with her.
